The Twins late rally fell short in a 6-5 loss to Cleveland Thursday night at Target Field. Minnesota scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Cleveland led 5-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning when Ryan Doumit snapped the shutout for Minnesota with an RBI single.

The Indians got that run back in the top of the eighth inning and kept the Twins off of the board in the bottom of the eighth.

In the ninth, Alex Presley plated Eduardo Escobar to cut the lead to 6-2. Brian Dozier followed with an RBI groundout, then Yosmil Pinto hit a two-run homer to cap the scoring.

Joe Smith was able to strike out Oswaldo Arcia swinging with runners on first and second to end the game.
