CHICAGO, IL -- The Minnesota Twins held on to an early lead to defeat the Chicago White Sox 4-3 on Saturday.

Much like Friday's game, the Twins got on the scoreboard early with a pair of solo home runs by Torii Hunter and Eduardo Nunez off of Chicago ace Chris Sale in the second inning. Unlike Friday's game, the Twins were able to build on the lead en route to a victory.

Leading 2-1 in the top of the third, the Twins again scored a pair of runs off Sale on Shane Robinson's RBI groundout and Trevor Plouffe's RBI single.

The White Sox responded in the bottom of the inning, getting to Twins starter Trevor May for a couple of runs that trimmed Minnesota's lead to 4-3.

May settled down after that, finishing the game allowing only the three runs on six hits in seven innings to earn his third win of the season.

Relievers Aaron Thompson and Blaine Boyer held the White Sox scoreless in their innings of relief, leading to closer Glen Perkins shutting the door for his 16th save of the season.

The Twins (24-18) will finish up their series in Chicago today at 1:10 p.m. with Kyle Gibson taking the mound against White Sox starter Jose Quintana.
