The Angels beat the Twins 5-4 at Target Field Thursday night in the opening game of a four game series. Los Angeles scored the deciding run in the top of the ninth inning.

Eduardo Nunez hit a three-run home run for Minnesota in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game at four, but the Angels scored on a sacrifice fly off of Glen Perkins in the top of the ninth to break the stalemate and earn the win.

The Twins will take on the Angels again on Friday night in Minneapolis.
