The Twins beat Kansas City 7-4 Tuesday night to avoid 100 loses this season for now.  Rene Tosoni hit a grand slam homerun, Trevor Plouffe went 3-4 with a run scored and Chris Parmelee went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI for the Twins.  Anthony Swarzak threw 6 1/3 innings with 10 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win to improve to 4-7.

Minnesota is 62-99 and will host Kansas City tonight in their final game of the season at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Carl Pavano (8-13) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Bruce Chen (12-8) toes the rubber for the Royals.
