Twins, Duensing Complete Sweep of Indians
The Twins completed a 3-game sweep of Cleveland at Target Field 5-1 Sunday afternoon. Brian Duensing replaced Francisco Liriano in the rotation and threw 6 innings with 5 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win. Justin Morneau was 3-4 with a 2-run homerun, Ben Revere went 2-4 with 2 RBIs and Brian Dozier was 2-4.
The Twins improve to 43-58 and are 12 1/2 games back of the White Sox for first place in the American League Central. The Twins are 2 games ahead of the Royals for 4th place.
Minnesota will host the Chicago White Sox starting a 3-game series Monday night at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.
