Twins Close Season With 1-0 Win

The Twins closed the season Wednesday night with a 1-0 win over Kansas City at Target Field.  Trevor Plouffe singled in Denard Span in the 9th inning to earn the Twins a walk-off victory.  Carl Pavano threw the complete-game 5-hit shutout with 3 strikeouts and no walks to get the win and improve to 9-13.

Minnesota managed 10 hits in the game with Joe Benson getting 2 of them.  Minnesota's disappointing season ends with a record of 63-99.
