The Twins beat the Red Sox 9-2 Friday night in Boston to win their 3rd straight game. The win in Boston is Minnesota’s first since 2007. The Twins scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning and added 4 more in the 5th inning to blow the game wide open. New shortstop Trevor Plouffe went 2-4 with a homerun and 3 runs scored in his 2011 debut to lead the Twins at the plate. Danny Valencia and Denard Span each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for the Twins.
