The Twins offense sputtered again Monday afternoon in Toronto in a 5-1 loss to the Blue Jays. Minnesota managed just three hits against David Price and LaTroy Hawkins in the loss.

Torii Hunter gave the Twins an early 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the top of the second inning, but that would prove to be the only Minnesota player to cross the plate.

That's not to say the Twins didn't have their share of chances against Price. In the fourth inning Trevor Plouffe doubled to lead off the inning, followed by a pair of walks to Miguel Sano and Hunter, but the Twins could not score a runner.

Ryan Goins and Josh Donaldson each homered for the Jays.

The Twins are now 54-51 on the season and are now tied with Toronto and Baltimore for the second wild-card spot in the American League. Minnesota is at Toronto again Tuesday night at 6:07 PM.
