The high school basketball season is in full swing this week. Here’s a look back at some important games that took place on this date in history.
1987– Rocori topped Little Falls 58-49 in the South sub-region 8AA championship at Halenbeck Hall.
1987– SCSU was defeated by Delta State 78-73 in overtime in a Division II quarterfinal game. The Huskies overcame a ten-point second half deficit but came up a bit short in the extra period.
1991– Brainerd beat Tech 65-47 in the South sub-region 8AA championship at Halenbeck Hall. Leading scorer Brad Raymond of Tech was held to just two points in the game. The Tigers finished the season 16-7.
1992– Tech got revenge over Brainerd in an upset, 66-64 win in the South sub-region 8AA semifinals. Raymond led the Tigers back from a seven point, fourth quarter deficit and ended with 16 points. Senior Terry Haus was 7-7 from the free throw line in crunch time.
