Today In St. Cloud Area Sports History- March 21

1987- Rocori girls basketball falls in the state championship game to Mankato East. The Cougars used a 12-point run late in the game for the win.

1991- Becker topped Long Prairie 62-44 in a state quarterfinal matchup at Williams Arena. Jeremy Karpinski led all scorers with 23 points. It was the Bulldogs' first appearance at state.

1992- SJU diver John Deters placed fifth in the three-meter diving competition at the national Division III championships at SUNY in Buffalo, NY.

1994- Coach Craig Dahl and the SCSU Huskies learned that they had been passed over for the NCAA Tournament after losing the WCHA championship game to Minnesota the day before.

1995- Rocori boys basketball is eliminated in the quarterfinals of the state tourney by Lakeville. The Spartans finish the season 21-6.
