The Waite Park youth baseball association for many years held a monopoly for youth baseball in St. Cloud but that has changed within the past few years.  Waite Park has had a great reputation and continues to post major wins in state, regional and national competition.  The Blue Sox have had success in the Gopher State league and beyond despite being relativly new.  The St. Cloud Blue Sox have cut into the amount of kids competing in Waite Park.  I believe the St. Cloud area has room for both Waite Park and the Blue Sox.  Waite Park's youth baseball consists of in-house and all star travel teams competing in the Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken leagues while the Blue Sox travel baseball teams compete in the Gopher State League as an affiliate of USSSA.  The level of play with Waite Park's best teams is similar to the best the Blue Sox have to offer but rarely have the two organizations faced off against one another.  It happens sometimes in tournament play but needs to happen more often in regular schedules.  I know many quality people associated with both programs and would love to see future cooperation.
