The Timberwolves snapped a losing skid Wednesday night with a win over the Washington Wizards.

The Timberwolves prevailed 87-82 in a back-and-forth game with Washington Wednesday night at Target Center. The win snapped a six game losing streak for Minnesota.

The Wizards led by eight points with nine minutes to play in the fourth quarter when the Wolves came charging back. Dante Cunningham had five points down the stretch for Minnesota, and JJ Barea had seven, including a three-pointer.

Derrick Williams led the Wolves with 16 points but shot just 4-12 from the floor. Ricky Rubio had a strong game for Minnesota with 15 points, eleven assists and seven rebounds.

John Wall led Washington with 19 points on 7-15 shooting.
