The Timbewolves won a summer league game against Cleveland 78-65 in Las Vegas Thursday night.  Derrick Williams led the Wolves with 23 points, Coby Karl added 18 points and Robbie Hummel chipped in 2 points.  The Wolves are 2-1 in summer league games and will play the NBA D-League Select team this Sunday.

The Wolves may have looked at shooting guard Courtney Lee as a player they could have acquired this offseason after failing to secure Nicolas Batum.  Lee was signed by Houston and traded to Boston for JaJuan Johnson, E’Twan Moore, Sean Williams, Sasha Pavlovic and a 2nd round pick.

The Wolves continue to pursue restricted free agent center Greg Stiemsma, and unrestricted free agents Jordan Hill and Ronnie Brewer.  The Wolves could also sign recently released center/forward Jon Leuer from Orono High School and the Wisconsin Badgers.
