The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Houston Rockets 92-79 Saturday night at Target Center. The Wolves (17-20) snapped a four game losing streak with the win, while the Rockets (21-21) have now lost seven straight games.

The injury-plagued Timberwolves relied on two new acquisitions to carry them to victory in the fourth quarter. Chris Johnson, signed to a 10-day contract from the NBA Developmental league, scored 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter.

His partner in crunch time crime on Saturday was Michael Gelabale, who was signed to a 10-day contract from noted basketball hotbed France. Gelabale had 11 points for the Wolves, including 10 in the fourth.

The Wolves leading scorer was Andrei Kirilenko with 21 points on 8-11 shooting. James Harden led the Rockets with 18 points despite 5-18 shooting.

Next up for the Wolves is a matchup with the Hawks in Atlanta Monday afternoon. Tip off is scheduled for 1 PM.
