Timberwolves Need to Sign Free Agent Shooting Guard

The Timberwolves are in the market for a free agent shooting guard after not solidifying the position in the draft last Thursday.  The Wolves drafted Shabazz Muhammed but he could very easily be a flop.  The Wolves can't afford the top free agents Flip Saunders is looking at free agent shooting guards Kevin Martin, J.J. Redick, O.J. Mayo and Andre Iguodala.

Iguodala might be too expensive for the Wolves but Martin, Redick and Mayo could be in their price range.  Martin is a 6'7 30-year old shooting guard who play at Oklahoma City last season and averaged 14 points per game while shooting 42 % from 3-point range.  Martin may be the best option for what they are in need of.

Redick is a 6'4 29-year old shooting guard who averaged 14.1 points per game while shooting 37% from 3-point range last season.  Redick isn't the shooter the Wolves need but could supply from scoring punch.

Mayo is a 6'4 25-year old shooting guard who averaged 15.3 points per game while shooting 40% from 3-point range last season.  Mayo may cost the most but could also be an attitude problem.

The Wolves may stay pat with Andrei Kirlenko at the #3 shot and a combination of Chase Budinger and Shabazz Muhammed at the #2 position.
