Timberwolves Draft LaVine, Robinson III

The Timberwolves chose one, if not the most, athletic player in the draft in 6’6 guard Zach LaVine from UCLA.  LaVine played just one season at UCLA and averaged 9 points per game.  He started just 1 game and came off the bench for the Bruins.  The Timberwolves passed Michigan State players Adriean Payne and Gary Harris from Michigan State.

The Wolves in the 2nd round, #40 overall, picked 6’7 small forward Glenn Robinson III from Michigan.  Robinson by some was projected as a first round pick.  He averaged 13 points and 4.4 rebounds a game at Michigan last season as a sophomore last season.

The Wolves traded picks #44 and #53 overall in the 2nd round for cash considerations with Brooklyn and Houston respectively.
