Wilf Joins In Viking Stadium Celebration

Minnesota Viking owner Zigi Wilf arrived in Minnesota Thursday afternoon after the Minnesota Senate passed the Stadium bill 36-30. The passage means the bill needs only to be signed by supportive Governor Mark Dayton and by needs to be approved by the Minneapolis City Council. The Governor has been a long-time supporter of the Stadium and the Minneapolis City Council has already voted in favor of the stadium 7-6. Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak says he has the votes.

Zigi's Contribution Would Be Less In Minneapolis

Vikings owner Zigi Wilf reportedly said he would significantly drop the amount of his financial contribution if the Stadium were to be built in Minneapolis as opposed to Arden Hills. The Vikings have committed to more than $400 Million to a stadium in Arden Hills. The estimated total stadium cost in Arden Hills is $1.1 Billion.

Vikings' Wilf Talks Stadium At The Legislature

Viking owner Zigi Wilf visited the State Capitol Thursday to thank sponsors of the stadium bill filed earlier this week. He remains confident a stadium bill will pass the legislature this legislative session despite concerns that many lawmakers have over the state budget problems. Wilf is confident the Vikings have a local partner and is keeping his options open.
