NFL 2012 Season — Week Five Recap

New Orleans 31 — San Diego 24

Drew Brees threw a touchdown pass in his 48th straight game to break Johnny Unitas' 52-year-old NFL record, and the New Orleans Saints beat the San Diego Chargers, 31-24, in New Orleans on Sunday night. New Orleans (1-4) recorded its first victory of the 2012 season by coming from behind after San Diego (3-2) led, 24-14, early in the second half.

College Football 2012 – Week Five Recap

For a week that was supposed to be lacking in big games or traditional rivalries, this week sure gave us a lot of excitement. West Virginia and Baylor showed us an offensive shootout for the ages. Stanford became the latest Top Ten team to bite the dust. And Texas and Nebraska both needed fourth quarter comebacks to keep their conference title hopes alive.

(Tech led 20-6 in the first half and 27-20 at halftime. Jacob Peterson had a hand in all 6 Tech touchdowns. He ran for 4 touchdowns, returned a kick for a score and threw a touchdown pass to quarterback Jay Kedrowski. Tech falls to 3-2. Moorhead is 5-0 and has the inside track for the #1 or #2 seed in Section 85A)

High School Football Preview; Tech Hosts Moorhead For Homecoming [Predictions]

Week 5 of the High School Football season starts tonight when St. Cloud Tech hosts Moorhead at St. Cloud State's Husky Stadium at 7pm. The Tigers are 3-1 while Moorhead and 4-0 and ranked #7 in the state in this week's Class 5A state poll. Tech is coming off a 28-6 win at Sauk Rapids-Rice last Friday. Tech is led by running back Jacob Peterson who ran for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Storm. The Tigers are playing their home games at SCSU with Clark Field deemed unplayable due to problems with the locker rooms and concession stands.
