Zack Palmquist scored with under a minute remaining in the third period to give the #14 Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks a 2-1 win over #1 Minnesota Friday Night at Mariucci Arena.

Nate Schmidt gave Minnesota a 1-0 lead at 7:48 of the first period, but the Mavs answered back at 16:42 with a power play goal to tie the game at one going into the third period
