Thursday, Nov. 3 Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers — 8:20 P.M. Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego Kansas City (1-6) is tied with three other teams for the league's worst record. The Chiefs have committed an NFL-high 25 turnovers, including six in a 37-20 Week 4 loss to the Chargers. Quarterback Matt Cassel, who has 16 turnovers, will start for the injured Brady Quinn. San Diego (3-4) has the league's second-ranked run defense, giving up an average of just 80 yards per game. Chargers running back Ryan Mathews could see additional carries as the Chiefs defend the pass better than the run.

N.Y. Giants 27 — Washington 23 Eli Manning threw a 77-yard touchdown pass to Victor Cruz with 1:13 left, and the New York Giants beat the Washington Redskins, 27-23, in East Rutherford, N.J. on Sunday. Cruz's score came just 19 seconds after rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III had given Washington (3-4) the lead via a 30-yard TD pass to Santana Moss. Griffin had a final chance for another rally, but Moss fumbled the ball away with 39 seconds to play as the Redskins were driving on New York (5-2).
Vikings’ Griffen Loses Mother Suddenly
Viking defensive end Everson Griffen missed practice Thursday after he was informed of the sudden death of his mother. Coach Leslie Fraizer said Thursday that police arrived at the team's headquarters on Wednesday to inform Griffen of the news. The details of Griffen's mother's death were not immediately known. Sabrina Scott has been visiting her son in Eden Prairie when she suddenly died Wednesday.
