Teague has spent the last 6 years as the Athletic Director at Virginia Commonwealth. Teague will make a base salary of $400,000 which is on the low end of Big Ten Athletic Directors. He replaces the retiring Joel Maturi and will start July 1.

Virginia Commonwealth athletics director Norwood Teague is the lone finalist for the University of Minnesota Athletic Director job and is expected to be introduced at the press conference today. The announcement of Teague as the lone finalist came on twitter from University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler and was also posted on the University of Minnesota website. Kaler had said he hoped to pick a successor to Joel Maturi in May.

The Vikings didn't say much much they would pay per game but did say TCF Bank Stadium would add 3,000 temporary end zone seats to the University's 50,000 seat stadium.
