April 24, 2012 The University of Minnesota introduced Norwood Teague as their new Athletic Director at a press conference Monday afternoon. Teague has spent the last 6 years as the Athletic Director at Virginia Commonwealth. Teague will make a base salary of $400,000 which is on the low end of Big Ten Athletic Directors. He replaces the retiring Joel Maturi and will start July 1.
April 23, 2012 The University of Minnesota has called a a press conference at 2:45pm today to announce their new Athletic Director. Virginia Commonwealth athletics director Norwood Teague is the lone finalist for the University of Minnesota Athletic Director job and is expected to be introduced at the press conference today. The announcement of Teague as the lone finalist came on twitter from University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler and was also posted on the University of Minnesota website. Kaler had said he hoped to pick a successor to Joel Maturi in May.
February 21, 2012 The Vikings have a struck a tentative agreement with the University of Minnesota on how much the Vikings would pay for use of TCF Bank Stadium while the Vikings Stadium is built near the Metrodome. The Vikings didn't say much much they would pay per game but did say TCF Bank Stadium would add 3,000 temporary end zone seats to the University's 50,000 seat stadium.
