There's a buzz around the University of Minnesota, Mankato campus this week as the Minnesota Vikings strap on their helmets for the final training camp in Mankato.
The Timberwolves begin training camp at Minnesota State-Mankato inside the Taylor Center today. The Wolves have many new faces this season including guards Brandon Roy and Chase Budinger and forward Andrei Kirilenko. The Wolves return a nucleus of forward Kevin Love, point guard Ricky Rubio and center Nikola Pekovic.
The Vikings will hold training camp in Mankato at Minnesota State longer this season than in recent years. The Vikings are schedule to start camp in Mankato July 26 and will break camp August 16. This will be the 47th straight season the Vikings will train at MSU.
