AM 1390-the Fan will broadcast the section 85A quarterfinal game between Sauk Rapids-Rice and St. Cloud Apollo. The Eagles have won 3 straight games and are 3-5 while Sauk Rapids-Rice is 1-7. Apollo beat Sauk Rapids-Rice earlier this season 9-6 to at the time snap their 22-game school losing streak. The Eagles have since beat Tech and Fergus Falls.

The top two seeds get a first round bye with #6 Sauk Rapids-Rice playing at #3 Apollo at 7pm Tuesday night. #5 Alexandria will play at #4 Tech at 8:15pm at SCSU Tuesday night.

Brad Fabel threw a 29-yards touchdown pass to Derek Kuechle in the first half. Jacob Peterson was held to 50 yards rushing on 17 carries with a 22-yard touchdown run. Peterson injured his right leg on the last play of the first half and did not return to the game.
