The Cathedral boys soccer team won 2-1 over St. Paul Como Park Thursday night at Hopkins High School in the Class A State Tournament Quarterfinals. Charlie Schweiler scored the game-winning goal and Alan Flores had 6 saves for the Crusaders.

The Tech Girls Tennis team lost 2 matches Tuesday in the Class AA State tournament at Baseline Tennis Center at the University of Minnesota. The Tigers lost to 3rd seeded Prior Lake 5-2 before falling to Stillwater in the consolation semifinals 5-2. The Tigers were eliminated from the team competition. This is Tech's 16th state tournament appearance.

The St. Cloud Tech girls tennis team will play in the Class AA State Tournament quarterfinals Tuesday October 23 at Baseline Tennis Center on the University of Minnesota Campus. Tech will play 3rd seeded Prior Lake Tuesday October 23. Edina is seeded #1, Minnetonka is seeded #2.

The Waite Park Silverstars lost 5-0 to Grand Rapids Sunday in an elimination game at the Division I state American Legion Baseball tournament. Eric Jarosch took the loss for the Silver Stars and Ethan Carlson went 2-3. Waite Park finishes the season with a 21-10 record. The tournament was held in Chaska, Shakopee, Victoria and Chanhassen.

The Rocori boys basketball team will play top seeded Minneapolis Washburn at 10am Wednesday morning at Williams Arena in the Class 3A state quarterfinals. Hear the game on AM 1390-the Fan with Ty James and Chris Chapman calling the action. Rocori is 18-11 on the season while Washburn is 27-2.
