The St. Louis Cardinals defeated San Francisco 3-1 Wednesday night to take a 2 games to 1 series lead. Kyle Lohse threw 5 2/3 innings with 7 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win. Matt Carpenter hit a 2-run homerun for the Cardinals. Game 4 is tonight in St. Louis at 7pm tonight. The Texas Rangers downed the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 Monday night in game 5 of the World Series. Mike Napoli hit a 2-run double in the 8th inning to break the 2-all tie for the Rangers. Mitch Moreland and Adrian Beltre each hit solo homeruns for Texas. Darren Oliver earned the win in relief for Texas and Neftali Feliz threw a scoreless 9th inning for the save.
