The St. John's basketball team lost 60-45 in Minneapolis against Augsburg Wednesday night in their MIAC opener. St. John's shot just 35 percent while Augsburg shot 45 percent. Aaron Barmore was the lone Johnnie in double figures with 12 points and Andy Burns added 6 points and 5 assists.

The St. John's basketball team defeated #24 UW-Stevens Point 60-55 Tuesday night in Collegeville. St. John's trailed by 14 at halftime before outscoring Stevens Point 36-17 in the 2nd half. St. John's was 7-10 from 3-point range after halftime. The Johnnies were led by Aaron Barmore and Kevin McKenzie with 13 points apiece.

SCSU Basketball Tops St. John’s

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team defeated St. John's 67-58 Friday night as part of the Hoopster Classic at Halenbeck Hall. Apollo graduate Tim Bergstrasser led the Huskies with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Brett Putz added 12 points for St. Cloud State. Andy Burns led St. John's with 17 points. SCSU outrebounded St. John's 37-23. SCSU is 2-0 on the season while St. John's drops to 0-1.

Johnnie Basketball Season Ends With A Loss; Blazers Lose

The St. John's basketball team lost to St. Thomas at home 72-61 Saturday afternoon and the Johnnies season ends. St. John's needed the win to clinch a MIAC playoff spot. St. Thomas is the MIAC conference regular season winner. Aaron Burtzel led the Johnnies with 19 points. St. John's finishes the season with a 14-11 record overall. St. Ben's Basketball falls 80-47 at St. Thomas Saturday afternoon to close the regular season.

Johnnies Beat Concordia, Blazers Do Not

The St. John's basketball team routed Concordia-Moorhead Saturday 74-48. St. John's was led by Aaron Burtzel with 13 points and 14 rebounds. The Johnnies improve to 12-10 overall and 8-9 in the MIAC. St. Ben's basketball lost 76-62 Saturday afternoon in Moorhead to Concordia. Amy Stifter led the Blazers with 11 points and they drop to 18-5 overall this season.

The St. John's basketball used a big first half to beat Macalester in St. Paul Wednesday night. The Johnnies led 37-26 at halftime and held on in the 2nd half. Andy Burns, Todd Herman and Nermin Hujdurovic each scored 16 points for the Johnnies and Hujdurovic added 9 rebounds.

The St. John's basketball team lost 59-54 Wednesday night in Collegeville. St. John's led by 8 at halftime and couldn't hold the lead in the 2nd half. Aaron Burtzel led the Johnnies with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Nermin Nujdurovic added 12 points and 10 rebounds for St. John's.
