The St. John's basketball team defeated Macalester 89-57 Wednesday night. Mitchell Kuck led the Johnnies with 21 points and Jack Wittenborg added 13 points for St. John's. The Johnnies shot 59 percent while Macalester shot 35 percent.

St. John's is led by Seth Marx but is trying to replace their top 2 scorers from last season Aaron Barmore and Andy Burns. Marx is the top returning scorer averaging 8.9 points a game. St. Cloud State is led by point guard Shaun Jensen and center James Fort.

The St. John's basketball team won 47-45 in Minneapolis against Augsburg Wednesday night in the MIAC tournament quarterfinals. The Johnnies are seeded 5th while Augsburg is seeded 4th. Andy Burns made the buzzer beater to lift the Johnnies to the win. Burns finished with 14 points and Aaron Barmore had 10 points and 10 rebounds for St. John's.

The St. John's hockey team is seeded 3rd in the upcoming MIAC men's hockey tournament and will play at 2nd seeded Gustavus Saturday at 7:30pm. St. John's finished the regular season with a 9-7-0 record in the MIAC and 11-12-2 overall mark.
