North Dakota defeated the St. Cloud State men's hockey team 3-0 Friday night in the first game of a weekend series. UND scored a goal in each period and Clarke Saunders earned the shutout in net for North Dakota with 32 save. Ryan Faragher had 23 saves for the Huskies.

The Huskies moved up in the USCHO.com Division I poll this week from #18 to #15. North Dakota dropped from #5 to #6. The St. Cloud State men's hockey team will play without one of their top players Ben Hanowski this week against 6th ranked North Dakota. Hanowski took a hard hit against Minnesota State-Mankato on October 27. Hanowski's injury has not been disclosed and he was re-evaluated this week. Head coach Bob Motzko wouldn't disclose the injury but it's suspected to be head related.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team was swept at New Hampshire this weekend falling 4-2 on Saturday night. SCSU tied the game at 1 apiece in the first period with a goal from Kevin Gravel. New Hampshire took a 2-1 lead in the 2nd when Joey Holka scored a goal for the Huskies to tie the game. New Hampshire took a 3-2 lead in the 2nd period and added a goal in the 3rd.
