November 13, 2011 The St. Cloud State men's hockey team earned a split in the weekend series at Minnesota State-Mankato with a 3-2 win Saturday night. SCSU scored 3 first period goals and goaltender Ryan Faragher made the lead stand up. Faragher had 29 saves for the Huskies. Ben Hanowski had a goal and an assist and both Cory Thorson and David Eddy added a goal for SCSU.
November 12, 2011 The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 4-2 at Minnesota State-Mankato Friday night. The game was tied 1-1 after 1 period but Mankato scored 2 2nd period goals and the Huskies couldn't catch up. Brooks Bertsch and Cory Thorson each scored a goal and Ryan Faragher had 34 saves for the Huskies.
October 29, 2011 The St. Cloud State men's hockey team won their WCHA opener 4-0 at #12 North Dakota Friday night. Freshman Ryan Faragher played for the injured Mike Lee and had 44 saves to earn the shutout in net for the Huskies. Jared Festler scored the first goal in the 1st period for SCSU and that turned out to be the game-winner. Andrew Prochno, Sam Zablowicz, and Travis Novak added goals for the Huskies.
October 16, 2011 The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 3-2 at Northern Michigan Saturday night and was swept in the weekend series in Marquette, Michigan. SCSU trailed 2-1 after 1 period and were down 3-1 after 2. Joey Holka and Jared Festler each scored a goal for the Huskies and Ryan Faragher had 2o saves in net for SCSU.
September 21, 2011 The Grand Forks Herald is reporting that St. Cloud State and Western Michigan will be added to the newly formed National Collegiate Hockey Conference by the end of the week. The newly formed NCHC consists of North Dakota, Minnesota-Duluth, Colorado College, Denver, Nebraska-Omaha, and Miami-Ohio. This conference will begin play in 2013-2014.
August 26, 2011 The Western Collegiate Hockey Conference has thrown out an invitation to 5 schools in the CCHA to join the conference starting in 2013-2014. The WCHA has invited Alaska-Fairbanks, Bowling Green, Ferris State, Lake Superior State and Western Michigan. The leaders of the WCHA and CCHA met in Chicago last week and the CCHA has 30 days to decide whether to make the move.

February 27, 2011 The St. Cloud State men's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Wisconsin with a 7-3 win Saturday night. SCSU stayed alive for a possible bid for home ice advantage in the first round of the WCHA playoffs. The Huskies are 14-15-5 overall and 10-12-4 in the WCHA. Garrett Roe and Aaron Marvin each scored 2 goals for the Huskies and Jared Festler added 3 assists for SCSU.
February 20, 2011 The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost at home to #2 North Dakota 3-2 Saturday night. Brett Barta and David Eddy each scored a goal for the Huskies and Mike Lee had 29 saves. Brett Hextall scored the game-winning goal for North Dakota in the 3rd period. UND takes 3 of 4 possible points in the weekend series.
