SCSU Hockey Completes Sweep Of Badgers

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Wisconsin winning 2-1 at the Kohl Center Saturday night. SCSU got the game-winning goal from Jarrod Rabey in the 3rd period after Nic Dowd tied the game at 2 in the 2nd. Mike Lee started in net for the 2nd straight night for the Huskies and had 41 saves.

SCSU Hockey Routs Wisconsin 5-1

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team defeated Wisconsin 5-1 Friday night. Ben Hanowski scored the first 2 SCSU goals and finished with 2 goals and 1 assist. SCSU scored 3 2nd period goals to put the game out of reach for Wisconsin. David Eddy, Nic Dowd and Jared Festler each scored a goal for the Huskies and Mike Lee had 31 saves.

#3 Gophers Complete Sweep Of Huskies

The 3rd ranked Gopher men's hockey team defeated St. Cloud State 3-2 Saturday night to complete a sweep of SCSU. Saturday night's win over SCSU for Minnesota came in St. Cloud. Sam Warning scored the game-winning goal for the Gophers to break a 2-all tie in the 3rd period. Ben Hanowski tied the game at 2 in the 2nd period and Hanowski scored the first SCSU goal in the 1st period.

SCSU Hockey Play Gophers This Weekend

The St. Cloud State vs. the Gophers rivalry continues Friday and Saturday. The two teams play at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis Friday night at 7:07 and again at 7:07pm in St. Cloud at the National Hockey Center Saturday night. SCSU is 7-8-3 overall and 10-12-4 overall. Minnesota leads the WCHA standings with a 13-5 WCHA record and overall mark of 17-9-1 overall.

SCSU Hockey Wins 5-4 At Colorado College In Overtime

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team won 5-4 in overtime at Colorado College Saturday night to earn a split in the weekend series. Jordy Christian scored the game-winning goal for the Huskies in overtime. David Eddy had a goal and an assist for SCSU. Eddy's goal gave the Huskies a 4-2 lead in the 3rd period before Colorado College scored 2 3rd period goals to force overtime.

SCSU Hockey Falls 3-1 At Colorado College

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 3-1 at Colorado College Friday night. CC took a 2-0 lead before SCSU Nick Jensen scored the lone Husky goal. Ryan Faragher had 23 saves for St. Cloud State. The Huskies are 8-11-4 and 5-7-3 in the WCHA.

SCSU Hockey Loses Cam Reid

St. Cloud State hockey is reportedly losing another player. Wing Cam Reid is leaving the Huskies to play for the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League. The Winterhawks are a high level junior hockey league team. Reid is 5th in points for the Huskies with 6 goals and 9 assists.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 2-1 in overtime to #8 Western Michigan Friday night to settle for a split in the weekend series. The Huskies won 4-2 Thursday night. SCSU fell behind 1-0 after 1 period but tied the game in the 2nd period with a goal from David Eddy. Chase Balisy scored the game-winning goal in overtime for Western Michigan.

SCSU Hockey Rallies Past Western Michigan

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team rallied to defeat #8 Western Michigan 4-2 Friday night at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. SCSU scored 3 3rd period goals to overcome a 2-1 deficit. Jared Festler scored 2 goals and Nick Jensen had 3 assists for the Huskies. Ryan Faragher had 29 saves for SCSU.

SCSU Hockey Routs #13 Denver 5-1

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team earned a split in the weekend series with #13 Denver 5-1 Saturday night. Nick Jensen scored a hat trick for the Huskies. This was the first time since 1991 when a defenseman scored a hat trick for SCSU. Bret Hedican did it then. Cory Thorson and Brooks Bertsch each scored a goal for the Huskies and Jared Festler added 2 assists.
