The St. Cloud State baseball team downed Augustana 7-1 in game 1 of a doubleheader at Mall of America Field inside the Metrodome Monday. The 2nd game was tied at 8 when time restraints forced the game to end in a tie. The game will be made up at a later date.

St. Cloud State centerfielder Brian Hansen was chosen in the 49th round by Cleveland with pick # 1,478 Wednesday in the Major League Baseball entry level draft. Hansen will likely stay at SCSU and be available to be drafting next season.
The St. Cloud State baseball team was eliminated from the NCAA Division II Central Regional early Monday morning with a 7-6 10 inning loss to Winona State. SCSU and Winona started the game after 10pm Sunday night because of rain and field conditions at Dick Putz and Joe Faber Fields in St. Cloud. SCSU's walked in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning.

Scott Leiser allowed 6 hits and 1 earned run to get the win and Travis Enger went 4-4 with a run scored and 1 RBI for the Huskies. SCSU is 43-9 and will play 3rd seeded Minnesota State-Mankato at 3:30 at Faber Field today.
