St. Cloud River Bats

The St. Cloud River Bats had their doubleheader postponed at home against Rochester Wednesday due to field conditions at Joe Faber Field. The heavy rains on Tuesday and light rain Wednesday caused the field to be unplayable. The Bats and Honkers will make up the lost games July 30 and 31 with back to back days of doubleheaders beginning at 6:05 each night.

The St. Cloud River Bats had their game rained out Tuesday night against Rochester and plan to make it up today with 2-7 inning games in a doubleheader. The first game will begin at 1:05, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 12:35.

The St. Cloud River Bats defeated Rochester 12-2 Monday night to earn their 4th straight win. St. Cloud scored 6 runs in the 5th inning to put the game out of reach. Jake Smith threw 6 shutout innings with 3 hits allowed to get the win for the Bats.

The St. Cloud River Bats defeated Thunder Bay 5-2 Sunday night to win their 3rd straight game. St. Cloud scored 3 runs in the 4th inning and were led at the plate by Andy Henkemeyer going 2-3 with a run scored and Mitch Garver had a 2-run single.

The River Bats ended their 9-game losing streak with a 3-1 win at Rochester Friday night. Austen Wisroth threw 5 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get the win for St. Cloud. Two relievers combined to threw 4 shutout innings allowing the Bats to prevail.

The River Bats have now lost 9 straight games after falling 3-2 at Rochester Thursday night. Andy Henkemeyer and Jeremy Banks each had 1 hit and 1 RBI for the Bats. Zach Hirsch allowed 6 hits and 3 runs (1 earned) in 7 innings to take the loss for St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud River Bats lost 4-3 in 10 innings at Brainerd Wednesday night to suffer their 8th straight loss. Chris Kubitz threw a wild pitch in the 10th inning scoring the game-winning run for the Lunkers. Connor Eppard went 2-4 with a RBI and both Mitch Garver and Jeremy Banks had 1 hit and 1 RBI for St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud River Bats had their game rained out against Brainerd Tuesday night. A doubleheader has tentatively been scheduled for July 7 against Brainerd to make up for the rainout. The two teams would play 2 7-inning games July 7 at 6:05pm.

The St. Cloud River Bats lost 9-1 to the Alexandria Beetles Monday night in Alexandria. St. Cloud has lost 7 straight games and is 2-11 on the season. Alexandria scored 4 1st inning runs and never trailed. C.J. Gillman went 2-4 with 1 RBI and Mitch Garver was 2-4 for St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud River Bats lost their 6th straight game 5-3 at home against Alexandria Sunday night. Alexandria led 5-0 after 3 innings and St. Cloud scored their 3 runs in the final 2 innings. Jon Richard threw 5 innings with 8 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to take the loss.
