The St. Ben's volleyball team earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Division III tournament when the pairings were announced today. The Blazers will open play in the 64-team field against Domincan (Illinois) at 12:30 Thursday at St. Thomas in St. Paul. The Blazers will play the first match up the day.

The St. Ben's basketball team lost 58-55 Wednesday night after falling behind early. Brianna Barrett led the Blazers with 15 points and Whitney Canton added 13 points. St. Ben's was outrebounded 37-28. The Blazers are 11-11 overall and 8-11 in the MIAC.

St. Ben's Activities Director Carol Howe-Veenstra is this year's recipient of the Nell Jackson Administrator of the Year Award. The award is presented by the NACWAA. Howe-Veenstra has spent the last 27 years at St. Ben's and 25 years as the Activities Director. She was also the head volleyball coach at St. Ben's from 1985-1999.
