Twins Winter Caravan Coming To St. Cloud Tonight

The Twins Winter Caravan will be stopping in St. Cloud at Rivers Edge Convention Center tonight. The program begins at 6:30 with doors opening at 5pm. A ballpark style meal will be served beginning at 5:15. Current Twins players Denard Span, Ben Revere and Rene Tosoni will be here along with former Twin Tony Oliva, broadcaster Dick Bremer and mascot TC Bear.

The Twins beat Kansas City 7-4 Tuesday night to avoid 100 loses this season for now. Rene Tosoni hit a grand slam homerun, Trevor Plouffe went 3-4 with a run scored and Chris Parmelee went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI for the Twins. Anthony Swarzak threw 6 1/3 innings with 10 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win to improve to 4-7.

The Twins defeated the Cleveland Indians 6-4 in 10 Innings in Cleveland Sunday afternoon. Rene Tosoni hit the tie-breaking solo homerun in the 10th inning to lift the Twins to the win. Chris Parmelee was 2-5 with 1 RBI, Denard Span was 2-5 with 2 runs scored and Ben Revere had 2 RBIs for the Twins.

Twins Beat Seattle To Stop Skid

The Twins beat Seattle 3-2 Thursday afternoon to snap an 11-game losing streak. Rene Tosoni ended the game with a walk-off RBI double in the 9th inning for the Twins. Tosoni was 3-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI, Ben Revere was 2-4 and Anthony Swarzak threw 6 innings with 2 earned runs allowed but didn't figure in the final decision. Joe Nathan threw a scoreless 9th inning to get the win.
