Nikola Pekovic

The Timberwolves lost 95-82 at home against the L.A. Clippers Thursday night. The loss is the 8th in a row for Minnesota and drops their record to 25-35. Kevin Love did not play because of a mild concussion and neck strain. Love returned to Minnesota after spending the night at a Denver area hospital Wednesday night after being hit in the head by the elbow of Javele McGee of the Denver Nuggets.

The Timberwolves won 117-100 at home over Denver Sunday afternoon. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 30 points and 21 rebounds and Luke Ridnour added 25 points for Minnesota. The Wolves played without J.J. Barea (thigh contusion) and Nikola Pekovic (bone spurs in right ankle). Pekovic is likely out until at least Friday.

The Timberwolves won 127-124 at Phoenix to being a 7-game road trip Monday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 30 points and 7 rebounds, Nikola Pekovic added 24 points and 8 rebounds and Derrick Williams added 19 points and 8 rebounds. The Wolves shot 56 percent while Phoenix shot 52 percent.

The Timberwolves lost 105-102 at home against the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night. Minnesota played without forward Kevin Love who couldn't play because of back spasms. Derrick Williams missed a shot in the lane with just seconds left that could have given the Wolves the lead. Nikola Pekovic led the Wolves with 25 points and 13 rebounds, Derrick Williams had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 15 points and 10 assists.

The Timberwolves snapped their 4-game losing streak with a 102-90 win over Charlotte at home Wednesday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 30 points and 18 rebounds, Nikola Pekovic added 21 points and 11 rebounds and Ricky Rubio chipped in 6 points and 7 assists for Minnesota. The Wolves shot 51 percent while Charlotte shot 45 percent.

The Timberwolves lost 102-89 at Orlando Monday night. The loss is the 4th straight for Minnesota. The Wolves committed 18 turnovers compared to 9 turnovers for the Magic. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 19 points and 15 rebounds, Nikola Pekovic added 16 points for Minnesota and Ricky Rubio contributed 11 points and 8 assists. Jason Richardson led the Magic with 17 points.

The New York Knicks dowed the Timberwolves 100-98 Saturday night. Minnesota has dropped 3 straight games while New York has won 5 straight. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 32 points and 21 rebounds and Nikola Pekovic added 21 points 13 rebounds. Ricky Rubio had 12 points and 8 assists for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves beat Sacramento 86-84 Tuesday night at Target Center without their top scorer and rebounder, Kevin Love who is serving a 2-game suspension for stomping on the face of Houston forward Luis Scola. Derrick Williams started in place of Love and scored 14 points and added 8 rebounds. Nikola Pekovic led the team with 23 points and 10 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 14 assists.

The Timberwolves scored 108 points to beat New Jersey 108-105 Friday night to improve to 11-12. Nikola Pekovic led the Wolves with 27 points and 11 rebounds, Kevin Love added 20 points and 10 rebounds and Ricky Rubio chipped in 10 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds.
