American League Triple Crown-winner Miguel Cabrera and former Yankee Austin Jackson added home runs for Detroit, and starting pitcher Max Scherzer struck out 10 Yankees, alloweing just two hits in 5-2/3 innings pitched. Series MVP Delmon Young went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Young hit .353 and drove in six runs in the series. The Tigers shelled New York starter C.C. Sabathia for 11 hits and 6 runs in 3-2/3 innings.

Detroit takes a 3 games to none series lead and will host Game 4 tonight with a chance to sweep New York at 7pm. See the game on TBS. C.C. Sabathia will start on the mound for the Yankees and Max Scherzer will start for the Tigers.
