The Minnesota Wild road tour came through St. Cloud Wednesday and spent more than an hour at MAC signing autographs and having pictures taken. Current Wild players Cal Clutterbuck and Marco Scandella, former Wild player Wes Walz and mascot Nordy were in attendance at the event.

The Wells Fargo Minnesota Wild road tour stops in St. Cloud today at the Hockey Arena in the MAC from 2:30-3:30 this afternoon. Current Wild players Cal Clutterbuck and Marco Scandella, former Wild player Wes Walz, television play-by-play man Dan Terhaar, Mascot Nordy and Kevin Falness of the Minnesota Wild radio network will be making appearances at the event.

The Minnesota Wild signed defenseman Nate Prosser to a 1-year contract. The 25-year old Elk River native scored 27 points for the Houston Aeros in 2010-2011. He has posted 1 assist in 5 career NHL games for the Wild.

The Minnesota Wild will reportedly introduce Mike Yeo as their new head coach at a press conference today. Yeo had been the head coach of the Houston Aeros, the Wild affiliate of the Minensota Wild. He coached the Aeros just 1 season but led them to the Calder Cup.

MN Wild Road Tour Coming To St. Cloud

The Minnesota Wild announced plans for their 2011 road tour Tuesday. The Wild will be in St. Cloud Wednesday June 22 from 2:30-3:30 at the Ice Arena at the MAC. Wild players Cal Clutterbuck and Marco Scandella, former Wild player Wes Walz, television play-by-play man Dan Terhaar and mascot Nordy will be here. The Road tour will also make stops in Brainerd and Duluth.

Fletcher Pulls Plug On Richards To Save Himself

The Minnesota Wild fired head coach Todd Richards Monday. General Manager Chuck Fletcher may have bought himself some more time with this decision. Richards and Fletcher were each hired 2 years ago and both have spent the last 2 seasons missing the playoffs and not making a noticeable improvement.

The Minnesota Wild fired head coach Todd Richards Monday after just 2 seasons and a record of 77-71-16. The 44-year old failed to make the playoffs in his 2 seasons with the Wild. Minnesota closed their season with a 5-3 win over Dallas Sunday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. General Manager Chuck Fletcher made the announcement on the firing of Richards.

Wild Edge Dallas 5-3 To Close The Season

The Minnesota Wild closed their season with a 5-3 win over the Dallas Stars the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Antti Miettienen scored the game-winning goal in the 3rd period and break a 3-all tie. Brad Staubitz, Jared Spurgeon and Colton Gillies each scored a goal and Pierre-Marc Bouchard added an empty net goal for Minnesota.

The Minnesota Wild scored 1 goal in each period and beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 in Edmonton Friday night. Brent Burns, Jared Spurgeon, and Andrew Brunette each scored a goal and Mikko Koivu and Pierre-Marc Bouchard each had 3 assists for Minnesota. Jose Theodore had 28 saves in net for the Wild.

Vancouver blanked the Minnesota Wild 5-0 Thursday night. Niklas Backstrom had 18 saves but allowed 5 goals and Jose Theodore had 5 saves in relief of Backstrom. Roberto Luongo had 29 saves to get the shutout in net for the Canucks. Minnesota outshot Vancouver 29-28. The Wild have 2 games left and will play at Edmonton tonight at 8pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 7:35.
