I believe the Vikings have 10 ten players that will determine whether they win 4 games or up to 8 games in 2012.

10) RT, Phil Loadholt - The right tackle allowed more sacks than anyone on the Viking roster in 2012 and needs to improve his pass blocking or Christian Ponder is going to get killed. The Vikings will likely keep the tight end in to help Loadholt but that limit's Ponder passing options.

Adrian Peterson Arrested In Texas

Viking running back Adrian Peterson was arrested in Houston, Texas for resisting arrest and for alledgedly pushing a police officer. Peterson was at a bar early Saturday morning and refused to leave when all patrons were asked to do so. He got into an argument with a police officer and was tackled to the ground after he alledgedly pushed an officer.

Vikings’ Spielman Has No Interest In Trading Harvin

Viking General Manager Rick Spielman says the team has no interest in trading receiver Percy Harvin despite his reported request for trade on Wednesday morning. Harvin reportedly requested a trade this week from the team for unspecified reasons. Harvin tweeted Wednesday night that the reason isn't money related. Harvin attended the Vikings walk through practice on Wednesday morning but wasn't at the longer Wednesday afternoon practice.

Vikings’ Harvin Unhappy; Requests Trade

Viking receiver Percy Harvin told reporters on the first day of mandatory minicamp that he hasn't "been real happy lately" and that a lot of things need to be sorted out before training camp begins. Harvin reportedly has now requested a trade. The trade request in not expected to be granted. Harvin has 2 years left on his 5-year $12.05 Million rookie contract. He didn't go into detail as to what his issues with the team were but did say it was multiple things.

Vikings’ Asher Allen Retires

Viking cornerback Asher Allen has retired from the NFL at the age of 24. Head Coach Leslie Frazier announced Wednesday of the decision made by Allen and said he was surprised to hear that Allen was retiring. He didn't get into the specifics as to why he is retiring. Allen started 9 games and appeared in 12 games for the Vikings in 2011. He missed some time due to a concussion and a shoulder injury. Frazier says Allen's decision is not related to injuries.

Vikings Sign 7 of 10 Draft Picks

The Vikings announced the signing of 7 of their 10 draft picks from the April NFL draft. The players that have signed are 4th round picks receivers Jarius Wright and Greg Childs from Arkansas and tight end Rhett Ellison of USC. The Vikings also signed 5th round pick safety Robert Blanton of Notre Dame, 6th round pick kicker Blair Walsh of Georgia, and 7th round picks linebacker Audie Cole of N.C. State and defensive lineman Trevor Guyton of California.

Vikings Camp At Mankato Longer This Year

The Vikings will hold training camp in Mankato at Minnesota State longer this season than in recent years. The Vikings are schedule to start camp in Mankato July 26 and will break camp August 16. This will be the 47th straight season the Vikings will train at MSU.

Wilf Joins In Viking Stadium Celebration

Minnesota Viking owner Zigi Wilf arrived in Minnesota Thursday afternoon after the Minnesota Senate passed the Stadium bill 36-30. The passage means the bill needs only to be signed by supportive Governor Mark Dayton and by needs to be approved by the Minneapolis City Council. The Governor has been a long-time supporter of the Stadium and the Minneapolis City Council has already voted in favor of the stadium 7-6. Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak says he has the votes.

Vikings Stadium Bill Passes Senate

The Vikings Stadium bill passed 36-30 in the State Senate Thursday afternoon and now the bill goes to the Governor and he's expected to sign it. The $975 Million stadium will be built with $477 Million from the Vikings and a combined $498 Million from the state at the city of Minneapolis. The Vikings are expected to continue to play at the Metrdome through the 2014 season and won't move into the new stadium until 2016.
