I’ll be the first to admit, I was totally against the plan to plop a stadium right where the old one is… parking is a major issue and even just getting into Minneapolis proper is a major pain in the arse. But you have to admit, these concept photos released by the Vikings organization yesterday make the idea of new stadium near the Metrodome site much more agreeable.

County residents testified by a 2-1 margin against the tax hike. The Vikings said if voters needed to decide whether Ramsey County could raise their taxes to play for the Viking Stadium that would have upped the cost by $110 Million because the process would have been delayed by 2 years.

Ramsey County has committed to pay for $350 Million or 33 percent and state is being asked to pay for $300 Million or 23 percent.
