The Timberwolves won 105-88 at Philadelphia against the 76ers Tuesday night. Minnesota led 65-47 at halftime and held on in the 2nd half. Alexey Shved led the Wolves with 17 points and Josh Howard added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Minnesota.

Wolves 32-21 in the 4th quarter to spoil Love's return. Love wasn't expected back until early December from a broken right hand. He wore a brace around the knuckles but it didn't effect his shot. Love was 12-25 from the field for 34 points and he added 14 rebounds.

Timberwolves shooting guard Brandon Roy is having arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee. Roy has had chronic knee problems that caused him to retire after the 2010-2011 season but decided to come out of retirement and join the Timberwolves. Roy has played in just 5 games this season and has averaged 5.8 points a game.

The Wolves have been decimated with injuries early this season playing with just 9 healthy players Wednesday night. Howard averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds a game playing for Utah in 2011-2012. Howard has averaged 14.5 points a game in his NBA career.
