February 27, 2012 The West beat the East in the NBA All Star game in Orlando, Florida Sunday night. Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City had 36 points for the West and was named the Most Valuable Player. Kobe Bryant of the Lakers scored 27 points and became the all time points leader in All Star games surpassing Michael Jordan. Kevin Love of the Timberwolves had 17 points and 7 rebounds while playing for the West.
February 23, 2012 The Timberwolves won 100-98 at home against Utah Wednesday night on a Luke Ridnour floater at the buzzer to break the 98-all tie. J.J. Barea led the Wolves with 22 points, Ridnour added 17 points and Nikola Pekovic added 15 points and 12 rebounds for Minnesota. The Wolves trailed by as many as 18 points in the 4th quarter before coming back.
February 21, 2012 The Timberwolves lost 103-101 in overtime at Denver Monday night. Arron Afflalo made the tie-breaking floater with :33 left in overtime. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 22 points and 13 rebounds, Michael Beasley added 17 points and Ricky Rubio chipped in 16 points and 5 assists for Minnesota. The Wolves shot 36 percent while Denver shot 40 percent from the field.

February 16, 2012 Timberwolves rookie forward Derrick Williams will participate in the 2012 Sprite Slam Dunk contest as part of the NBA All Star festivities in Orlando, Florida on Saturday February 25. Williams will be joined by Chase Budinger of Houston, Paul George of Indiana, and Iman Shumpert of New York.

Jason Richardson led the Magic with 17 points.
