Lynx Win Season Opener Over Phoenix
The Minnesota Lynx defeated Phoenix 105-83 Sunday afternoon in their season opener. The Lynx received their WNBA championship rings before the game in a ceremony. Seimone Augustus led the Lynx with 19 points, Monica Wright added 15 points and both Lindsay Whalen and Maya Moore had 13 points apiece.
Lynx Draft Peters #3 Overall
The Minnesota Lynx drafted 6 players in the WNBA draft Monday. Their first selection was 3rd overall, 6'2 power forward Devereaux Peters from Notre Dame. Minnesota also picked 6'4 19-year old center Damiris Dantas from Brazil with the 12th overall pick in the first round. The Lynx made 3 2nd round picks, 6'0 forward Julie Wojta from UW-Green Bay, 6'2 forward Kayla Standish from Gonzaga, and 5'7 guard Nika Baric from Slovenia. The Lynx also picked 6'0 guard Jacki Gemelos from USC.

Lynx Celebrate WNBA Title
The Minnesota Lynx celebrated their first WNBA title with a parade and program inside Target Center Tuesday afternoon. Approximately 15,000 fans joined in the celebration. The Lynx swept Atlanta in 3 games in the WNBA Finals with the clinching game coming last Friday night in Atlanta.

The Minnesota Lynx came from down 4 points at halftime to defeat the Atlanta Dream in Atlanta 73-67 Friday night to win their first WNBA title 3 games to none. The Lynx outscored the Dream 19-8 in the 3rd quarter. Seimone Augustus led the team with 16 points and Maya Moore added 15 for the Lynx.

Lynx Beat Dream In WNBA Finals
The Minnesota Lynx are 1 win away from winning the WNBA title after their 101-95 win in game 2 of the WNBA finals Wednesday night. Minnesota trailed by 8 at halftime but came back in the 4th quarter. Seimone Augustus led the Lynx with 36 points and 8 rebounds, and Jessica Adair and Lindsay Whalen added 13 points apiece.
