The Minnesota Lynx came from down 4 points at halftime to defeat the Atlanta Dream in Atlanta 73-67 Friday night to win their first WNBA title 3 games to none. The Lynx outscored the Dream 19-8 in the 3rd quarter. Seimone Augustus led the team with 16 points and Maya Moore added 15 for the Lynx.

The Minnesota Lynx begin their 2011 playoff run tonight when they host San Antonio in game 1 of the Western Conference semifinal best of 3 series. Minnesota finished the regular season with the best record in the league at 27-7 and won all 4 meetings with San Antonio this season.

The Minnesota Lynx closed the regular season Sunday night with a 96-90 win over Phoenix. Maya Moore, Monica Wright and Seimone Augustus each scored 15 points for the Lynx. Minnesota shot 56 percent from the field.

The Minnesota Lynx lost 85-80 at Phoenix Tuesday night to end their 9-game win streak. Maya Moore led the Lynx with 28 points, Seimone Augustus added 26 points and Lindsay Whalen chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Diana Taurasi led Phoenix with 26 points.

Minnesota Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson for a 2nd time this season is the WBA Western Conference player of the week. She scored 16 points and had 16 rebounds against Phoenix, scored 20 points against Indiana and had 16 points and 8 rebounds against Seattle last week. Brunson leads the WNBA averaging 11.2 rebounds a game.

Indiana beat the Minnesota Lynx 78-75 at Target Center Sunday night. Maya Moore led the Lynx with 21 points and Lindsay Whalen added 12 points. The Lynx shot 40 percent while the Fever shot 45 percent.

The Minnesota Lynx beat the Los Angeles Sparks 86-69 Sunday night to get their first win and improve to 1-1. Seimone Augustus led the Lynx with 17 pooints, Maya Moore added 16 points and Rebbekka Brunson added 10 points and 15 rebounds for Minnesota.

The Minnesota Lynx drafted forward Maya Moore with the first overall pick in the WNBA draft Monday afternoon in Bristol, Connecticut. She averaged 22 points a game her senior season at UConn and is expected to be an immediate impact player.
