The St. Cloud Rox lost 11-10 in Thunder Bay to the Border Cats Thursday night. St. Cloud scored 4 runs in the 8th inning and 3 more runs in the 9th inning but their comeback came up short. Zach Hirsch allowed 12 hits and 8 earned runs in 4 2/3 innings to take the loss for the Rox. Boo Vazquez was 2-5 with 3 RBIs and Mark Rhine drove in 3 runs for St. Cloud.

The Mankato Moon Dogs beat the St. Cloud Rox 9-3 in St. Cloud Sunday. Mankato scored 5 runs in the 4th inning to break the game wide open. Mark Rhine went 3-4 with a run scored and Andy Henkemeyer was 2-5 with 2 RBIs and Jamie Simpson and Chris Paul had 2 hits for St. Cloud. Keaton Siomkin allowed 8 hits and 5 earned runs in 3 1/3 innings to take the loss.

The St. Cloud Rox lost 8-4 at Thunder Bay Wednesday afternoon. The Border Cats sweep the 3-game series and send the Rox to their 4th straight loss. Thunder Bay scored 3 runs in both the 3rd and 6th innings. Phil Imholte was 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI and Mark Rhine was 2-5 with 1 RBI for the Rox. Tadd Johansen allowed 6 hits and 4 runs (3 earned) in 4 innings to take the loss.

The St. Cloud Rox won 6-1 at home against Mankato Sunday night behind the starting pitching of Paul Schaak. Schaak threw 7 shutout innings with 3 hits allowed with 1 strikeout and no walks. He gets the win. Mark Rhine went 3-4 with a triple and 2 RBIs and Nick Rau went 2-4 with 2 runs scored for the Rox. St. Cloud scored 3 runs in the 5th inning and added 2 more runs in the 6th inning.
