The Minnesota Lynx began defense of their WNBA title with a 78-70 win over Seattle Friday night. Lindsay Whalen led the Lynx with 20 points and 6 assists, Seimone Augustus added 19 points and Maya Moore added 16 points and 7 rebounds.
The Minnesota Lynx defeated Tulsa 83-59 Sunday to clinch a playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Lynx needed just 21 games to clinch a playoff spot while last season it took 26 games. Maya Moore led the Lynx with 22 points, Lindsay Whalen added 15 points and Seimone Augustus contributed 14.
