Ducks Beat Wild 3-2

The Anaheim Ducks beat the Wild 3-2 Thursday night at the Xcel Energy Center of St. Paul. Jared Spurgeon and Matt Cullen each scored a goal for the Wild. Niklas Backstrom had 13 saves for the Wild. Minnesota outshot Anaheim 25-16.

The Minnesota Wild won 4-3 at Edmonton in their preseason opener Tuesday night. Minnesota went out to 3-0 lead only to allow Edmonton to come back to tie the game before Jared Spurgeon scored the game-winning goal in the 3rd period for the Wild.
