Purdue Pounds Gophers
October 8, 2011 Purdue beat the Gophers 45-17 Saturday afternoon in West Fayette, Indiana. Minnesota trailed 31-3 at halftime and managed a pair of garbage touchdowns in the 2nd half. Marcus Jones had a 92-yard kickoff return touchdown and Marquis Gray had a 1-yard touchdown run. Gray threw for just 104 yards and ran for 20 yards for Minnesota.

Michigan Punishes Gophers
October 2, 2011 Michigan scored early and often in their 58-0 rout of the Gophers at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan Saturday afternoon. Michigan led 38-0 at halftime and outgained the Gophers 580 yards to 177. Denard Robinson threw for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 51 yards and another score for the Wolverines. Max Shortell started at quarterback for the Gophers and threw for 104 yards on 11-22 passing.

Gopher Football Wins First Game For Kill
September 17, 2011 The Gopher football team defeated Miami-Ohio 29-23 Saturday afternoon at TCF Bank Stadium. The win gives new head coach Jerry Kill his first win with the Gophers. He suffered a seizure last Saturday near the end of the game in the loss to New Mexico State. Marguis Gray threw for 163 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 171 yards to lead the Gophers. Donnell Kirkland ran for 55 yards and a touchdown and Malcolm Moulton had 4 catches for 72 yards.

Gophers’ Kill Released From Hospital
September 16, 2011 The Gopher football team welcomed back head coach Jerry Kill Thursday. He was released from the hospital and attended practice Thursday. He had a seizure near the end of the game last week at home against New Mexico State. The Gophers host Miami-Ohio this Saturday at 2:30, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 1:30. Kill is expected to coach the team Saturday.

Gophers’ Kill Still Hospitalized
September 15, 2011 Gopher head football coach Jerry Kill is still hospitalized after suffering a seizure last Saturday near the end of the game against New Mexico State. He continues to recover and his assistant coaches still expect him to coach the team from the sidelines this Saturday when Minnesota hosts Miami-Ohio at 2:30, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 1:30.

Assistants Expect Kill To Coach
September 14, 2011 Gopher football assistant coaches Matt Limegrover and Tracy Claeys both expect head coach Jerry Kill to coach the team from the sidelines this Saturday. Kill suffered a seizure near the end of the Gopher loss to New Mexico last Saturday. He has been recovering but did not attend the press conference yesterday.
