Carl Pavano was touched up for 10 hits and 6 earned runs in 4 1/3 innings to take the loss and drop to 2-4 this season. Pavano gave up 6 straight hits in the 4-run Detroit 4th inning. Justin Morneau and Denard Span each hit solo homeruns and Span added a double. Ben Revere had 3 hits for the Twins.

The Twins pounded the Brewers 11-3 in Milwaukee to win their 3rd straight game Friday night. Denard Span led the Twins going 4-5 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBIs, Joe Mauer was 3-5 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs and Justin Morneau was 2-4 with 3 RBIs for Minnesota. Scott Diamond threw 5 1/3 innings with 8 hits and 3 earned runs scored to get the win and improve to 3-0.

The Twins outlasted the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 Friday night in a game that didn't start until almost 9pm. The two teams endoured a 1 hour and 51 minute rain delay. Darin Mastroianni had 2 hits and 3 RBIs playing in just his 2nd game as a Twin. Ryan Doumit had a 2-run single and Denard Span had 2 hits and 2 runs scored for Minnesota. Nick Blackburn allowed 5 earned runs in 5 innings to get the win and improve to 1-4. Matt Capps threw a scoreless 9th inning to get the save, his 6th.

Seattle ended their 7-game losing streak with a 7-0 win over the Twins Saturday night. Felix Hernandez allowed just 1-hit in 8 innings with 9 strikeouts to get the win for the Mariners. Jason Marquis allowed 4 hits, 6 walks and 2 earned runs in 6 innings to take the loss for the Twins. He's 2-1. Denard Span had the only hit for the Twins.

The Twins lost 7-6 to Kansas City Friday night to extend their losing streak to 6 games and drop their record to an American League worst 5-15 record. Kansas City scored 2 runs in the 8th inning to break a 5-all tie and Minnesota managed just 1 run in the 8th inning and came up short. Alexi Casilla had 2 hits and 2 RBIs and both Denard Span and Joe Mauer added two hits. Brian Duensing took the loss in relief for the Twins.

The Twins Winter Caravan stopped in St. Cloud Wednesday night at Rivers Edge Convention Center. Current Twins players Denard Span, Ben Revere and Rene Tosoni were here along with former Twin Tony Oliva, broadcaster Dick Bremer and mascot T.C. Bear. The group signed autographs and held a program emceed by Bremer.

The Twins Winter Caravan will be stopping in St. Cloud at Rivers Edge Convention Center tonight. The program begins at 6:30 with doors opening at 5pm. A ballpark style meal will be served beginning at 5:15. Current Twins players Denard Span, Ben Revere and Rene Tosoni will be here along with former Twin Tony Oliva, broadcaster Dick Bremer and mascot TC Bear.

The Twins announced their plans for the Twins Winter Caravan in January. The Caravan will stop in St. Cloud on Wednesday January 25 at the Rivers Edge Convention Center (St. Cloud Civic Center). The group coming to St. Cloud includes current outfielders Denard Span, Ben Revere and Rene Tosoni, former Twin Tony Oliva, broadcaster Dick Bremer and mascot TC Bear.

The Twins were talking with the Washington Nationals about trading outfielder Denard Span at the trade deadline but they couldn't come to an agreement with the Nationals. The report had Span going to Washington for 23-year old closer Drew Storen and minor league 2nd baseman Stephen Lombardozzi.
