Cold Spring Silver Springers

The Sauk Rapids Cyclones defeated Chaska 5-2 in the Class B State Amateur Baseball Tournament Sunday to stay in the winners bracket. Nick Anderson threw the complete game to get the win for the Cyclones. Sauk Rapids will play Mankato at 1pm Saturday in Brownton.

The Sauk Rapids Cyclones defeated Savage 11-5 Sunday in the Cold Spring Class B Super Regional. Sauk Rapids improves to 29-4 and both Sauk Rapids and Savage advance to the Class B State Tournament to be played this season in Glencoe, Hutchinson and Brownton. Sauk Rapids will begin play Saturday night at 5pm August 21 in Hutchinson.
